The Excitement Is Building!
Since opening in late May 2010, we have welcomed visitors from around the globe and received excellent feedback in terms of many appreciative comments, justified constructive criticism and interesting suggestions as to how the visitor experience could somehow be improved.
We have listened very carefully and are now responding with a series of minor modifications to our numerous exhibitions and vehicle displays, including the introduction as marques and models not previously represented.
The museum’s 1920’s garage re-creation has been dismantled, to be presented afresh, in more accurate form.
Our cycle display is to be revised in keeping with a well researched timeline.
Until early Spring 2011 discreet building works will be taking place, mainly outside of normal operating hours, but occasionally, when unavoidable, during our public opening times.
Please be assured that these activities will in no way be detrimental to the exciting visitor experience we consistently provide. On the contrary, recent visitors have expressed much interest in our activities, with claims by many that the museum and its determined ambition had exceeded their expectation.
The museum is open daily except for Christmas Day, from 9.30 am to 5.30pm, until the 30th October, then closing at 4.30pm to the 18th February 2012.
