We've been shortlisted to become the UK’s best classic car destination…but it needs your vote to make it happen!

Readers of Britain’s biggest-selling classic car magazine, Practical Classics, have already nominated the Lakeland Motor Museum as one of their 30 favourite places to take classic cars, alongside a variety of other museums, castles, tourism hotspots and memorable mountain roads around the country.

Members of the public now have just over four weeks to vote for their favourite locations and create the definitive top ten; this will then be revealed by the magazine later this Spring.

Director of the Lakeland Motor Museum, Edwin Maher, says, “Around 80,000 people now visit the Museum every year and the type of customer is changing too, so it’s not just car enthusiasts we’re seeing, but also plenty of couples, young families, schools and coach parties too. We’re asking those loyal customers to give us their online vote and give this special Lake District attraction the recognition it deserves.”

Practical Classics Editor, Danny Hopkins, says, “It’s a UK first: every year, hundreds of thousands of classic car owners drive out to locations across the country, so we thought it was about time we asked them where their favourites are. Now we know, it’s time to put them to one definitive vote.”

How to vote

The public vote closes on Saturday 24 February 2018.
