Lakeland Motor Museum comes to life for one night only!

Lakeland Motor Museum is launching a one off ‘Night at the Museum’

Visitors are invited to experience Lakeland Motor Museum in a whole new light this October, as the museum opens its doors after hours for a special one-off Night at the Museum event on Wednesday 21 October.

Coinciding with Back to the Future Day, the evening will celebrate the museum's iconic DeLorean Time Machine while offering a unique opportunity to explore the collection after dark. Atmospheric lighting, torchlit exploration and exclusive evening access will transform the museum's galleries, revealing familiar exhibits in an entirely new way.

Running from 5.30pm to 8.00pm, the event promises an immersive experience for visitors of all ages. On arrival, guests will receive a complimentary torch to help guide their way through the museum's displays, uncovering over a century of motoring history as they explore.

The museum's famous DeLorean Time Machine will take centre stage for the evening, enhanced with special film-inspired lighting effects. Visitors will have the rare opportunity to step inside the vehicle and capture memorable photos with one of the museum's most popular exhibits.

Throughout the evening, Lakeland Motor Museum's curator and staff will be on hand to share fascinating stories, behind-the-scenes insights and little-known facts about some of the collection's most significant vehicles and exhibits.

Visitors can also enjoy late-night refreshments at Café Ambio, which will remain open throughout the event serving hot drinks, snacks and light meals, while all event ticket holders will receive 15% off purchases in the Museum Shop.

A spokesperson for Lakeland Motor Museum said:

"Night at the Museum offers visitors a completely different way to experience the collection. Exploring the galleries by torchlight creates a wonderful atmosphere, and with Back to the Future Day falling on the same date, it's the perfect opportunity to put our famous DeLorean in the spotlight. We're looking forward to welcoming families, enthusiasts and local visitors for what promises to be a memorable evening."

Tickets cost £13.25 for adults and £7.90 for children.
