None of this information is stored by us, unless you opt-in to receive future emails.

Purchasing a ticket from us

When you purchase a cruise ticket from us online we ask some personal information that verifies your credit card payment information and e-ticket delivery address.

  • Your email address for delivery of e-ticket
  • Your telephone number (in case we need to contact you in case of cruise cancellation)
  • Your postal address that your card is registered to (to process the card transaction with SagePay)

Your personal information is held on our database for 12 months after purchase on UK managed secure servers.

After 12 months, this data is automatically redacted (anonymized to just a postcode).

This postcode data is used for research purposes only and can never be traced back to any personal information.

Your payment information is processed securely by SagePay.

Subscribe and receive our marketing emails

You can subscribe to our e-newsletters when buying a ticket or when contacting us via a web form.

To email you, we use a company called CreateSend.

You can opt out of receiving any further emails by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button on any email you receive.

Your name and email address are stored securely by CreateSend. They have extensive privacy and security policies in place and have been vetted by Windermere Lake Cruises.

Windermere Lake Cruises collects and stores some personal information via other offline sources. These may be via a phone call, letter or application form.

Our discount scheme for anyone living in the LA or CA postcode areas is valid for 5 years.

  • Your postal address (so we can verify your LA/CA postcode)

  • A paper copy of your application with your signature on

Your information is held on file for 5 years so that we can verify your membership and apply discounts when you cruise with us.

We also keep your address on file so duplicate/replacement cards can be re-issued quickly and efficiently.

After 5 years, your information is deleted from our secure UK based servers.

We will never use your personal data for marketing purposes unless you have opted in on the paper application form.

Making a group/charter/buffet cruise booking over the phone

If you have made a group, private charter or buffet cruise booking over the phone then we keep the information on our internal booking management system.

  • Your postal address (to send you your booking confirmation or invoice you by post)

Your information is held securely on a UK based server for 2 years from your original booking date.

It will then be deleted from our servers
