1954 LandRover owned by Donald Campbell
This example is finished in Bluebird Blue befitting a vehicle which was once the property of Donald Campbell.
The old-style log book records its first registration as 10th October 1954 with its first change of ownership (to Donald Campbell) on the 20th January 1960.
The vehicle remained registered to Donald Campbell until the 21st August 1967 some 8 months after his tragic accident on Coniston Water, whilst attempting to break the World Water Speed Record - 4th January 1967.
The museum is presently researching the Campbell provenance and would welcome any recollection of its siting at Coniston or elsewhere.
